《侩子手》是西班牙写实主义大师贝尔兰加的巅峰之作，以辛辣的笔调描写了一个连苍蝇都不敢打的青年人，为生活所迫竟当上刽子手的故事。影片虽在如今的各大西班牙经典影片榜单上名列前茅，但由于推出时正处于弗朗哥黑暗时期，长时间没有得到人们的认可。
