故事主角是一名自小习武的寒门青年，受弥留的奶奶所托寻人，而其后他于危难中救下孤儿寡母。此举却让他陷入两难，是继续尽快找到奶奶想见之人了其挂念，还是冒着让奶奶含恨而终的风险，先帮孤儿寡母躲过坏人捕猎，渡过难关？
Crushed by a messy unrequited love, a young queer poet, through the confidence of their best friend and the truth of their art, finally reckons with their own emotional baggage (or, 'boulder'). The film oscillates between 16mm narrative compositions of everyday life and Super 8 montages which imagine the world of their poetry.
